Traffic Management Plan for Metro rail Corridors –I &III

Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd. is all set to bring to the citizens, an international urban transportation experience
through its quality-intensive, comfort & safety oriented features. The Project comprises of three major corridors
covering a distance of 72 Km in Hyderabad. With the onset of the metro rail construction, a significant impact on
the already existing traffic and transportation network was observed in Hyderabad. In all, but a few instances, the
public must have some form of access through or around the work site. Considering the magnitude, Skyline APL
was engaged to study the existing traffic situation and prepare a TMP, which maximizes overall safety of road
users and thereby reduces traffic impacts and time delays efficiently. A structured six-step approach was adopted
to provide a comprehensive understanding of existing scenario, addressable traffic issues, validate and
establish better solutions.
